Georgia is already making preparations to ensure another embarrassment like the loss to Texas in the Sugar Bowl doesn’t happen again anytime soon.
The school has stolen defensive backs coach Charlton Warren from the University of Florida. Warren will assume the same role with Georgia.
Warren is the latest of a series of new coaches coming in, as James Coley was recently brought in as offensive coordinator. It’s nice to see Warren, an Atlanta native, become a coach for a team in his own home state.
Hopefully Warren can bring more success to one of the best college football schools in the country. Warren was known as one of the better recruiters in the SEC with the Florida Gators, and stealing a coach from an SEC East rival makes this even sweeter for the Bulldogs.
In the meantime, Warren will need to work closely with the rest of the defensive coaching staff and returning players.
