Paris Saint-Germain’s play maker, Kylian Mbappe has been punished for misconduct during a French league game last weekend with a three-match ban handed him.
This is after the member of the France squad was shown a red card in stoppage time during PSG’s 4-2 win over Nimes.
Having scored in the victory, the 19-year-old striker was sent off for reacting to a late challenge from Teji Savanier, shoving the Nimes midfielder to the ground.
On his part, Savanier was also punished and was handed a five-match ban by the French league’s disciplinary commission on Wednesday.
Mbappe is in Germany for France’s UEFA Nations League game in Munich on Thursday and did not attend the hearing.
He is now being ruled out the league matches against Saint-Etienne on Sept. 14, four days before PSG starts its Champions League campaign at Liverpool, against Rennes on Sept. 23 and Reims on Sept. 26.
Meanwhile, the French youngster has been linked to Real Madrid as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo who is currently with Italian side, Juventus.
Although, it has been reported that the Spanish giants will have to break the bank before securing the signature of the World Cup winner.
The player has been calm about the speculations linking him to Madrid as he is yet to make any comment on the issue.
