Chelsea midfielder, Cesc Fabregas has urged forward, Eden Hazard to stay at Stamford Bridge amid reports of a summer exit from the club.
Hazard has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid for some time.
However, the latest reports suggest that the Los Blancos have agreed on a fee for the Belgium international.
French sport outlet, Le10Sport, reports that the current Champions League holders have come to an agreement with Chelsea on a £170million deal, although that price could also include goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, who has been tipped to seal a return to Madrid.
Chelsea are currently in Perth, Australia on their pre-season tour.
Fabregas, speaking to the local media, stated that the Blues need to keep Hazard at the club in the coming season.
“I won’t lie, I speak to Hazard often,” Fabregas told reporters.
“He is the best player at the club and we need Chelsea to keep the best players.
“He knows the fans love him and he is a player we love to play with.
“For sure, we want him to stay.”
